White Cake with White Chocolate Ganache Frosting

Is it just me or are the candy companies becoming more creative with their flavors?  Pumpkin Spice Kisses, anyone?  How about Wildly Cherry M&M's?  Or even Caramel Apple Candy Corn?  This is just too much.

Too much fun, that is!

I stumbled across these at my local grocer three weeks ago, and thought, "Hmmm.  This is interesting.  I think this should go in the shopping cart."  I wasn't sure what I was going to do with them, but I was sure I wasn't interested in eating them by themselves.

Easy Tortellini Alfredo

This is one of those meals that make you think, "Why didn't I come up with that?"  I call this something you make.  It is cooking, but do you really need a recipe?  No.  Change out the meat.  Change out the pasta.  Pick your own veggies.  And it's totally different!  You will definitely add this to your rotation.  It's in my sweetie's top 10, so I try to make it 5-6 times a year.  I can't make it too often.  Then it wouldn't be special!!

Mushroom Pancetta Fajita Quesadilla

I don't like to brag, but yah, I've become a pretty good cook:  Cooking Enthusiast as my Tasty Kitchen Profile refers to me.  Of course I chose that description.  I wasn't anointed or anything.

This weeknight I bring you: The Fajita Quesadilla.  We've all seen this on the menu at the local Mexican cantina.  This is my version, and I just threw it together!  Very easy.

Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

My sweetie doesn't like banana flavored foods even though he loves bananas.  This has been quite disappointing for me.  I feel like I'm not allowed to make a yummy treat like this if I'm the only one who is going to eat it.  My rules drive me crazy.  How could he not like warm, moist banana bread right out of the oven with a pat of butter on it?

I tried adding coconut.  Nope.
I tried adding nuts.  Of course not.
I tried adding chocolate.  Bingo.  That's right.  My man loves chocolate more than any premenstrual woman.

Partner Pizza Crust

I have one more trip to the beach planned before the end of 2012, and I am considering myself a very lucky  lady because I get to spend it in another beach house! whoop! whoop!  With my girlfriends!  Another whoop!

Back in June we had some family come to the crystal coast for a visit, and this included my Uncle Dennis and Uncle Steve.  We all stayed at a beach house and decided it would be fun to take turns making meals.  This post is about the pizza crust Dennis and Steve made.  It kicked ass.  Chewy AND crunchy.  Yum.

Spanish Style Shrimp with Garlic

This is one of my quick go-to summer meals.  Most foodie bloggers are jumping on the fall bandwagon, but here in NC, it will be warm for another month. 

I have certain meals that I like to make on the weekends like Tomato and Corn Pie and then easier meals I can put together without much fuss for the work nights.  I'm really into organizing and list making, and meal planning fits nicely right in there.
