Biscuits & Gravy Casserole

The Bible Belt.
The Biscuit Belt.

It's true.
Southerners are really into their biscuits.

A friend of mine on Facebook showed off a photo of pork chop biscuits she made for her hubby, a cop. While an impressive biscuit sandwich, it is a heavy way to start your day. Don't start every day with a biscuit, people. Please throw in some oatmeal, fruit, and yogurt a few times a week or even a protein shake. Gasp!

So on those days you're splurging or maybe having guests for breakfast, make this casserole. Not too eggy. Not too much gravy. It was perfect.

Biscuits & Gravy Casserole

Preheat oven to 350 degree's. Take a 9x13 pan and spray it with nonstick cooking spray. Then take the 8 biscuits and place them on the bottom of the pan. Brown sausage and scatter over biscuits. Sprinkle with cheese. Whisk eggs and milk with a pinch of salt and pepper and pour it around the sides of the biscuits. Make gravy mix per package directions and pour over the biscuits. Bake in the oven for about 30-45 minutes. Serve with a fruit salad.

This below is my favorite 9x13 casserole pan. It was already being used when I made the biscuits and gravy casserole.

  1. Great idea to make an all time favorite breakfast into a cassarole! I'm sure it's wonderful to make up and eat!

  2. I can't believe I never thought of this! You rock :)

  3. Took this to a brunch at church (made 2 pans). They licked it clean!
