I made some fun purchases this week. Surprise.
I think I make fun purchases every week.
What did I buy? ohmygosh. First up: this Nude Scandal Eyes Eyeliner by Rimmel. If you love doing your eyes up, get this for your lower waterline. It's great to open up your eye even more so you don't appear tired. I also bought them in
black, sparkling black, and brown.
I bought some undies at Victoria Secret. I used my free pantie coupon and a $10 reward, 6 pairs for $17.
I also had a mac attack last week that I failed to mention. I ordered Pro Longwear Blush in Stay Pretty, Eye Shadow in Palace Pedigreed and Divine Decadence and Lipglass in Utterly Tart.
And I bought some clothes.
My first ever purchase at Banana Republic happened this week.
Sign. me. up.
I'll sign up for that Banana Republic Visa.
I bought this outfit you may have seen me try on on instagram. I also purchased this skirt. Speaking of, this purchase reminds me my second anniversary is coming up. No big whoop. Gonna keep on keepin' on.
My husband's grandmother turned 98 yesterday and we took her shopping at Talbots to celebrate. She bought a lovely green button up with white buttons and some eyelet detail going down the middle of the shirt. I couldn't find a picture for you. :(
I bought a pencil jean skirt, capris in khaki, a crocheted sweater tank in cantaloupe, and this linen sweater in pink with green stripes (watermelon). Pretty!
I keep telling myself I'm done shopping for summer.
Cinnamon & Sugar Sweet Potatoes
- 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled
- 4 Tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 Tbsp dark brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Heat your oven to 400 degrees. Slice the sweet potatoes into 1/2" wide half moons (as shown in the photos.) Prepare by getting out a large baking pan. Lay a large sheet of foil on top. Spray that with nonstick cooking spray. Place the sweet potatoes on the foil. Add your pats of butter, dark brown sugar, and cinnamon on top. Fold the sides of the foil up over the potatoes to create a pouch for them. Place in the preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes.
Here's another final photo. I couldn't decide which I liked better.
