If you are craving some chocolate, you've got to make these Triple Chocolate S'mores Krispie Treats!!
I'm so excited about my plans today (wrote this Saturday morning)! My two BFFs and I are getting together to celebrate a birthday. I don't know how it started, but for the last year and a half or so we've been trying to do outrageous activities for our birthdays. Maybe it started with our trip to Puerto Rico when we all turned 30.
These two women are the most kind, generous, intelligent, and supportive women I know--they embody and put into action what a female friendship should be, and so when we're old and grey we want to have all these exciting memories to share with each other. I talked a little bit about the birthday of fun they put together for me here, and today we're celebrating by getting herbal wraps and mud therapy at Skin Sense A Day Spa. We were going to get the birthday girl a Vajazzle (so outrageous, right?), but we had to take this birthday down a notch because she just had a baby. What better way to relax and celebrate than with some spa activity?
Triple Chocolate S'mores Krispie Treats
- 1 cup plus 10oz marshmallows
- 3 Tbsp butter
- 5 cups chocolate krispie cereal
- 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 sleeve chocolate graham crackers
Place one cup of marshmallows and your chocolate chips in the freezer for at least 15 minutes before you need them. Break up the graham crackers. Melt the butter and ten ounces of marshmallows in a large saucepan on medium to low heat. Spray a 9x13 pan with non-stick cooking spray. When that has melted, get out the frozen goods and put them on the counter next to the crackers to get ready. Mix the chocolate rice krispies into the melted butter and marshmallows and add the crackers, frozen marshmallows, and frozen chocolate chips quickly. Pour into the 9x13 pan and let it set for an hour before you cut into them.
